Jimmy took his first guitar lesson in 6th grade and started his first band in the 7th grade called The Psychedelic Sound (it was the '60s). After they won the Junior High Battle of the Bands, Jimmy was hooked and never stopped playing. Since then he has worked as a single, duo, trio, quartet, and with horns when the budget allowed. Currently he enjoys playing Blues and R&B on electric, Altered Tuning finger picking instrumentals on acoustic, and strumming Beatles tunes on the ukulele. He also enjoys writing, and has a published novel about a band in the '70s entitled Long Journey, Short Steps. |
